America's Funniest Home Videos (AFV) ideas????????????? (10 POINTS)?
Ok my best friend's dad, who was the assistant football coach at my school just got laid off yesterday and now he can't pay for my friend's (colleen) tuition and she might have to move to a different school. Tuition here is $10,000 a year. Colleen was crying and stuff and she's reeeally sad that she might have to leave her friends. So we are trying to think of a way to get $10,000. Yeah... not really working out too well. But then I was watching tv and AFV (americas funniest home videos) and the person that won got $10,000 and so we thought about making a really funny video and sending it in. (My family sent one in a few years ago. It's the one with the dachshunds pulling the wagon with the little kid in it.) Anywayyyy... We can't come up with any ideas. It has to be something that doesn't seem predictable and planned (even though it is...) but anything helps!!!!! thanks!!!!!
Well, you can always tell when the video was planned. So, just start video taping things more often, and eventually, something funny will happen. But if you plan it, it's not usually as funny as the accidental videos. Most of the winners are kids. So, maybe get babies, or young kids to play, or something, and video tape them regularly, so that way, something will just happen. Kids say a lot of funny stuff too, so watch for that kind of stuff too.
Other than that, tell her to try for scholarships. Also, grants! They are awesome because you don't have to pay them back. And if she can't get those, she can just take out a student loan. Those don't have to be paid back until 6 months after graduating college. So, that's what I'm doing.
Sorry about your friend's dad. I know how bad everything is getting. I feel for them, and hope he is able to get some work to support the family.
